Question 1

Do you service University of Miami affiliated labs and research facilities in Coral Gables?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with research labs that generate BSL-1 and BSL-2 microbiological waste, human specimen waste, chemical waste from research reagents, and pathological waste from tissue samples. Research lab waste often involves multiple waste streams — we set up separate containers for each category and provide compliance documentation aligned with UM's institutional requirements. For RCRA-regulated chemical waste streams, our team provides waste classification guidance and documentation support.

Question 2

My Coral Gables practice is affiliated with Baptist Health / Doctors Hospital. Do you meet their documentation standards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We provide manifests and service documentation in formats that satisfy Baptist Health's vendor documentation requirements. We're experienced working alongside health system-affiliated outpatient practices and can provide compliance records on the timeline and format the health system requires.

Question 3

Can you handle chemotherapy waste from an oncology practice near Sylvester Cancer Center?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Chemotherapy waste is dual waste — both biomedical and RCRA hazardous — and must be incinerated at an RCRA-permitted facility. Exodus provides yellow chemotherapy waste containers, separate from standard red bag containers, and compliance documentation support. Note: Exodus does not currently transport RCRA-regulated hazardous waste under its own EPA Identification Number. Our team can provide compliance guidance to help your facility understand applicable RCRA classification and documentation requirements.

Question 4

Is parking and access difficult for pickup in Coral Gables?

Accepted Answer

Coral Gables' parking and building access regulations can be restrictive. We coordinate with your building manager to arrange appropriate access, loading dock use where available, and schedule pickups during building access hours. Most Coral Gables accounts have no access issues once access is coordinated at setup.
