Question 1

Does Aventura fall in Miami-Dade County for biomedical waste purposes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Aventura is a Miami-Dade County municipality and is subject to FDOH Chapter 64E-16 as administered for Miami-Dade generators. However, given its location at the county border, many Aventura practices also have patients and referrals from Broward County. Exodus is permitted to transport biomedical waste in both Miami-Dade and Broward County, so we can service your Aventura facility regardless of which side of the county line your building is closest to.

Question 2

Can you handle pharmaceutical waste from an Aventura cosmetic surgery practice?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cosmetic surgery practices typically generate pharmaceutical waste from unused local anesthetics (lidocaine, bupivacaine), sedation medications, and in some cases controlled substances from anesthesia protocols. Each category requires a different disposal pathway — we set up the correct containers and document each stream. DEA-scheduled controlled substance destruction certificates are provided when applicable.

Question 3

Do you service medical spas and IV therapy lounges in Aventura and Sunny Isles?

Accepted Answer

Yes. IV therapy lounges and medical spas in Aventura and Sunny Isles Beach generate sharps (IV catheters, needles), pharmaceutical waste (unused vitamins in injectable form, prescription medications), and regulated biomedical waste. We set up programs for these practices that include properly sized sharps containers, pharmaceutical waste containers, and the documentation required for every pickup.

Question 4

How quickly can service start for a new Aventura practice?

Accepted Answer

Most Aventura accounts start service within 3–5 business days. Call (786) 622-2214 or request a quote online — we'll confirm your setup within 24 hours in most cases.
